MusicThe mission of the music ministry of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church is to recruit and nurture followers of Jesus Christ through music. You are welcome to join us.
The Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir sings each Sunday (September through May) during the 10:30 am service. Anyone who enjoys singing is welcome. Choir members rehearse on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.
Voices of Truth
Singers and non-singers alike can be a part of our choir. Choir members serve as song leaders during the Contemporary Worship Service at 8:30 AM. We have bunches of fun during practices and praising God during worship. Right now we practice at 5:00 PM on Sunday evenings. Anyone is always welcome. Come Praise God with us!
The Cantata Choir
If you enjoy singing but aren't prepared to commit to the longer-range programs, the Cantata Choir is meant for you. This choir presents a cantata each Easter and Christmas during Sunday morning worship at Aldersgate. Rehearsals are weekly, beginning about two to three months prior to each performance.
The Aldersgate Chimers
The Aldersgate Chimers are students in grades three through twelve who participate in several worship services throughout the year. Sometimes, we're even called upon to spread God's word through our music by playing our chimes at meetings or events outside our church-what a great way to minister! You don't need to be able to read music to be in our group; you just need to be able to join us for a minimum of three 30 minute rehearsals prior to a performance. We hope to be able to have some adults join us in the very near future! Our chimes our easy to play and we believe that the more players we have, the better the music sounds!
